8 Fun Fall Wedding Food Bars

Wedding food bars or fix-it-yourself bars are all the rage right now and for good reason. They allow your wedding guests to show their creativity and customize their food. Plus, they’re just fun! Fall and winter in particular lend themselves to food bars, and there are tons of seasonal options available that can add another layer of atmosphere to your wedding.

Candy Apple Bar

Fall is apple season, so why not take advantage? You can use entire apples or simply apple slices and give your guests a fun and delicious way to satisfy their sweet tooth. Caramel is always the best option, but you can also do a chocolate sauce. Add in little bowls of candies, and your guests are sure to be happy.

Popcorn Bar

You have a couple of options with a popcorn bar. You can provide your guests with a variety of seasonings and toppings like butter salt, parmesan cheese, and white cheddar and allow them to create their own popcorn. Or you can just put out buckets with prepared popcorn, such as buttered popcorn and caramel popcorn. Either way, everyone loves popcorn.

Soup Bar

Fall has plenty of vegetables to take advantage of that make for some awesome soups. You have tons of options, including butternut squash, tomatoes, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. We love this concept because we love working with in-season produce. Whatever your favorite soups are, you can include them in an awesome soup bar that can be used for your cocktail hour or as a side dish to your main course. Plus, you can add in options like cheeses, crusty bread, and spiced nuts!

Chili Bar

Chili is so comforting and hearty. It’s a great way to combat the weather as it gets cooler and provide your guests with a delicious meal. Chili is another way to highlight in-season produce too. You can even offer a variety of toppings like sour cream, cheese, croutons, hot sauces, peppers, and corn chips. Then, people can really mix up their chili and make it exactly what they want.

Hot Chocolate Bar

Hot chocolate bars are so much fun! They do double duty of providing your guests with a sweet treat and something to warm them up during the colder months. There are tons of options for a hot chocolate bar like marshmallows, chocolate chips, cinnamon sticks, and whipped cream. Get creative with your toppings, so your guests can make some wild creations.

Apple Cider Bar

Bringing the apples back, apple cider is the perfect option for a bar. You can give your guests a few options like spiced apple cider or hot apple cider. You can also provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic cider to provide more variety. Hot apple cider is perfect for fall and winter!

S’more Bar

This can be a great way to add some fun to your wedding because it’s both delicious food and an activity. You can have different types of graham crackers and chocolate on top of your marshmallows. Some rental places even have s’more carts that you can rent for your wedding! These carts can create some great lighting and warmth after dark too if your wedding has an outside portion. It’s a great fall and winter activity.

Pie Bar

What’s more fall than pies? There are tons of options like pumpkin, apple, and cranberry. You can provide whipped cream and let guests serve themselves. Pies are also a creative alternative to wedding cake if you’re not into that.

Food bars give your guests something to do and provide them with an awesome treat. If you’re planning your wedding, you should definitely consider putting together a food bar. Take the time to really brainstorm the ingredients you’re going to provide and use it as an opportunity to add some additional decor.
